Cushendall Guided Walk & Food Tour

Half Day Experience 4pm to 8pm (or later at own leisure if staying on to enjoy the pub and traditional music).

In the shadow of Lurigethan Mountain join your local guide from the Glens of Antrim to really appreciate Cushendall.

Designated as the second Conservation Area in Northern Ireland (1973), much of the historic character of the 19th-century settlement remains, which includes the largely intact Irish Georgian buildings of the town’s four original streets. Discover local legends, hidden stories in the village, local culture, spend time with the locals, stunning scenery, local drinks tasting in a traditional pub, local music and a delicious 3-course tasting meal in celebration of seasonal local food.

Café Revive

Revive your day so far with a sit-in or take away hot or cold drink and local traybake (wee bun) or a slice of farmhouse wheaten, butter & jam.  This unique café of collectibles and homemade food run by Anette & Stephen has no guaranteed seats so be prepared to mix with the locals. (Arrive anytime between 3pm & 4pm and just present your booking page to Annette or Stephen).

Tour commences at 4pm.  Glens of Antrim local guide will meet you at Cafe Revive for a sharp departure at 4pm, a flat and leisurely guided walk of Cushendall village.

McCollam’s Pub (Johnny Joes)

Join owners Shelia or Joe in the pub that has remained unchanged for centuries, as a pub and coaching inn, just the horses no longer arrive for rest. The pub shows off original shelves, counters and welcome!  A pub has always stood on this site so no better place to taste local drinks of your choice from Whiskey, Gin, Craft Beers or even pull your own pint of Guinness.

Upstairs at Joes Restaurant

Step upstairs to the restaurant and your guide will introduce you to the restaurant.  In their hands and warm welcome, you will enjoy seasonal local food at its best, hand prepared by Head Chef hear why local food is so important and why it delivers the greatest taste.  Enjoy your Toast The Coast tasting menu (of 3 courses), sit back and relax before heading back to the pub for local traditional music and a warm welcome in the cosey Jonny Joes pub.

Dinner ends at approximately 8pm (followed by free time to enjoy the pub & traditional music).
